Beste Willem,
Lynda and I could not believe it when we were told you had left us.
We have a long history together, since the early eighties. This includes our Dutch background, fixing my, our, ’58 Chevy pick-up, you found, I bought and you recreated and all of Quadra knew. Nice wheels! Then later we shared ideas about stone carving, harmoniums and all the sciences that seem to make our world go around, more or less.
But the earth and life is not like a smooth round ball. There are many bumps and some seem to turn out out too steep to overcome. Like the break-up of our Past.
Your family and all of us will miss you for ever as you were and are still so special. One of your first Yellow Eye Rockfish, otherwise known as a Red Snapper, still decorates our hall, all 50 pounds of it, for 25 years or more.
Lynda and I will support Barbara and your family as much as we can and they need, while adjusting to not having your living self around with all your wisdom and creativity.
