I met William during a Quadra Island Artist Tour and fell in love with his beautiful fish. He was a joy to listen to and I could have spent hours listening to his fish and art stories. A couple of years later, my brother, sis-in-law, and niece were visiting from Chicago and I asked Barbara is we might visit William and his studio. She invited me to ask William. He was most gracious and willing to open his studio and his storytelling to my family. It was a wonderful afternoon. My heart is so sad. What a loss to his family and to Quadra.
